3.1 Forward Path Balancing
Note that for all steps below the value of "X" in MIB fields refers to the Channel 1-8, the value
of "Y" in MIB fields refers to RAN ID 1-8, and the value of "Z" in MIB fields refers to
module/path.
3.1.1 Initialization
The next section outlines the preparation for balancing the forward output.
1. Set all BIM attenuator offsets to 0 dB for this Tenant Sector using the
transceptTenantMore AttenTable.transceptTenantBimForwardAttenZOffset fields forhis
tenant's BIM module.
2. Using the transceptTenantCalTable.transceptTenantFscAttenX fields of the Tenant OAM
MIB, set all FSC digital attenuations to 0 dB (8 channels)
3. Using the transceptTenantOAMTable.transceptTenantRanDisableY fields of the Tenant
OAM MIB, disable all RAN PAs for this Tenant Sector
4. Using the transceptTenantOAMTable.transceptTenantForwardAGCDisable field of the
Tenant OAM MIB, disable Forward Autogain on the Hub and all RANs on this Tenant
Sector
