VoiSec is a mechanical switch, so
some pressure is required to activate it.
Access:
VoiSec has a range of applications for
people with communication
impairments or reading
difficulties. These are just a few ideas:
• Attach VoiSec to symbols in the
classroom - on calendars,
communication boards or around
activity centres.
• Record a request for attention or
help.
• Stick VoiSec to medicine bottles and
record a message describing the
content and dose.
• Use VoiSec to create talking signs.
• Record a telephone message
instead of writing it down.
• Stick VoiSec to photos and have
friends and family record a message.
Generating Language:
Up to 70 seconds of recording time.
Speech:

Play the message back by hitting the
large button on top (12.5cm across) or
plug in your own standard switch.
Access:
To play back the message sequence
simply press the switch surface. The
first press plays back the first message
recorded, for example "Where did the
two cows go on their first date?" Press
the switch again to hear the next part of
the message, for example "To the
MOOvies!" Keep pressing the switch
until the recorded sequence is
finished. The message series will then
start again from the beginning.
The BIG Step-by-Step Communicator
is suitable for activities such as telling a
joke, telling news, singing a song,
giving instructions, passing on a
message or reading a story out loud.
There is no limit to the number of steps
in each message sequence - that is
determined when you record the
sequence.
Generating Language:
Attach your own symbols using the
Snap Switch Cap, included.

activate at the end of the recorded

"Off," and the light turns off.
