The Liberator-14 comes with a variety
of symbol overlays and word overlays.
It has a library of thousands of pictures
for use on the touch screen. You
can also add your own digital photo
and other images.

Comes with RealSpeak Australian
voices (from ScanSoft) - male and
female. 
DECtalk speech is also available,
providing a choice of 10 voices.
Speech:
A sleek, versatile communication
device and a Windows-XP computer
rolled into one. The user can generate
messages using spelling, Minspeak or
by navigating between different pages
of symbols. The Liberator-14 comes
with all of the Unity programs and
WordCore programs that are available
on other PRC devices such as the
Vanguard Plus and Vantage Plus. The
large, bright screen makes the
device easier to use for those with
visual impairments or difficulties with
physical access.

'One touch' transition from the
communication program to
Windows programs allows the user to
move easily between talking and using
computer applications. 
'Vocabulary masking' capability helps
with teaching specific sets of words,
which can be selected from a menu of
pre-stored word lists. Custom word lists
can also be imported.
A USB memory stick can be used
to backup the Liberator-14 and transfer
notebook files.
Use spelling with word prediction,
Minspeak or dynamic display
communication pages that are
electronically linked
together. Communication pages may
have 4, 8, 15, 45, 60, 84 or 144 symbol
squares per page. PRC products,
including Liberator-14, are the only
AAC products that provide access to all
three language representation methods
including Minspeak, single-meaning
pictures for extended vocabulary and
spelling with Word Prediction.
The Liberator-14 comes with a range of
communication pages suitable for
users of all ages, including:
• Unity Enhanced (45 Location)
Unity allows you to create words and
phrases by combining pictures
together. Unity Icons are shown on
the touch screen, each representing a
different language concept or
category. For example, the Rainbow
icon represents the concept of colour
and art related vocabulary. When you
press the Rainbow icon, the screen
changes to show you a choice of
colours and other related words.
The top row of pictures on the screen
can be used to display vocabulary used
in special activities, which may not be
used frequently. 
• Unity 84 and Unity 144
These versions of Unity includes 84 or
144 icons/keys and allow the user to
access a large amount of vocabulary.
• WordCore - 45, 84 or 144 Location
Version
A word-based program that uses a
combination of spelling, word prediction
and frequently used words. It is faster
than regular spelling and cuts down on
the number of keystrokes needed to
type messages.

such as website addresses.

for children and adults with a wide
variety of visual and/or motor skill
impairments. Features include:

display with adjustable backlighting and
contrast for ease of viewing and
access.

optional keyguards to aid clients in
accurate direct selection.
• Scanning access options including

• Plug in an external joystick, mouse
or trackball.
• Auditory prompts can be provided
for extra cues.
• Icon prediction helps the user to
recall messages by fading out pictures
where no message is stored.
• An innovative integrated
headpointing system that utilizes
Madentec's Tracker One technology.
By integrating the camera system into
the Liberator-14 case, PRC and
Madentec have combined to provide a
convenient and effective headpointing
solution which only requires the user to
wear a tiny adhesive dot on their
forehead - there is no need for
headbands or cables.

accommodate other external
