Creating the First Array

This chapter explains how to use the Array

Config

SA Utility to create

the first bootable or non-bootable array on your server.

Before creating the array, make sure the disks for the array are con-

nected and installed in your server (or array enclosure).

SA runs from a self-booting diskette. If

you are changing the configuration of a server that is

already in use on a network, log all users off the system and

shut it down in an orderly manner before you start
