handling,
the
product
must
not
be
dropped.

bumped.

heads
and
disks
may
occur.
When
the
drive is removed from
the
MiniScribe
shipping
container
and
not
immediately
secured
within
a
chassis
through
its
shock
mounts.

must
be
stored
on
a soft
padded
conductive
(antistatic)
surface.
UNPACKING AND INSPECTION

Retain
the
packing
materials
for
reuse.
Refer to
Figure
1 for
the
following
steps:

the
shipping
container
for evidence
of
damage
in
transit.

damage
is
evident. notify
the
carrier

the

of

carton

the

Uft
the
drive from
the
inner
carton
and
remove
the
end
foam
cushions,
the
cardboard
wrap
with
spacer.

antistatic

Place
the
two
pairs
of
end
cushions.

within

outer

and
store
for
subsequent
use.
Inspect
the
drive for
shipping
damage.

disposition.
