The

MiniScribe drive is a

precision

product.

During

handling,

the

product

must

not

be

dropped.

or

bumped.

heads

and

disks

may

occur.

When

the

drive is removed from

the

MiniScribe

shipping

container

and

not

immediately

secured

within

a

chassis

through

its

shock

mounts.

surface.

UNPACKING AND INSPECTION

Retain

the

packing

materials

for

reuse.

Refer to

Figure

1 for

the

following

steps:

Inspect

the

shipping

container

for evidence

of

damage

in

transit.

If

damage

is

evident. notify

the

carrier

immediately.

the

on

the

of

the

carton

the

carton.

Uft

the

drive from

the

inner

carton

and

remove

the

end

foam

cushions,

the

cardboard

wrap

with

spacer.

the

of
