Notes for Table 4:
1. Although operating systems may support eight-way or larger systems, scalability is a
function of both the operating system and the application/workload. Applications must be
specifically designed to take advantage of larger SMP systems.
2. Some operating systems are supported at general availability (GA); these are marked with
Yes. Those operating systems marked with Planned are planned to be supported after GA.

3. Virtual machines running on VMware ESX Server 2.5 will only be dual processor capable
if the VMware ESX Virtual SMP module is also purchased.
