Introduction
1.4 Compaq’s Support Policy
A software release is considered a current version when it is the most recent
release and for the twelve months following the release of a subsequent version.
A subsequent version is defined as a Major or New Feature release. Major
releases contain substantial new functionality. The version number increases to
the next integer (for example, 6.2 to 7.0). New Feature releases contain some
additional functionality. The version number increases to the next decimal
fraction (for example, 7.2 to 7.3). Thereafter, Prior Version Support may be
available.
