The Defaults side tab reveals two
top tabs. Here HTR-Theater Down-
load top tab permits you to select
an input number and customize it to
your specific system. If you have
already limited the number of inputs
for the theater, this is your chance
to relabel the remaining inputs, as-
sign the audio and video jacks, turn
on the low-voltage trigger if it is be-
ing used, assign source AC triggers
and setup the Double-Default Mode
Auto-Detection (5.1 Cinema Mode-
left, 2-Channel Mode-right).
As an example, instead of setting the
Final Input number to 11 (the num-
ber of components on the system),
we have set it to 12. Because the
DVD Player is used for both film and
music playback (CDs), we are go-
ing to setup two inputs for the DVD
Player, DVD FILM and DVD MUSIC.
The only real differences between
these two input labels will be the
Default Modes.
In the screen shot to the left, you can
see that input label 2 now reads DVD
Music and is linked to the same au-
dio and video jacks as input label 1,
DVD Film since these two input la-
bels access the same component.
The only differences are the Default
Modes, where DVD Film uses film
oriented surround modes and DVD
Music uses music oriented modes.
The Factory Defaults top tab per-
mits you to recall the HTR-2400’s
factory defaults which will reset the
HTR-2400’s home theater section to
the original settings. Pressing Fac-
tory Default Store option will load the
current settings as the factory de-
fault. The HTR-2400 also features
an Installer Default, which can be
stored and later recalled by the end
user in the event the customer has
badly altered the home theater.
