In the example we have been using, Auxiliary is
an open input without a source connected to it.
The DVD player is used for both DVD (film) and CD (music) playback. Instead of having the
end user worry about which mode to select when playing material on the DVD player, we will
setup two Input Labels (or source labels) for the DVD player, each with its own set of default
modes (one film and one music oriented). Please note, that this is an example but the steps
used here apply to any level of source customization for the HTR-2400’s Theater Zone.
Begin by changing the
source 7’s name from
DVD PLAYER 7 to DVD
FILM 7. To do this you
will turn the Mode knob
so the arrow is on
SOURCE LABEL. The D
in DVD will be flashing.
Then turn the Volume
knob to advance the
blinking cursor to the first
letter you intend to edit.

Use the Room knob to
change characters, in this
case, the letter P to the
letter F as in FILM.
Again use the Volume
knob to advance to the
next letter position.
Repeat these steps, turning the Room
knob to change letters and the Volume
knob to change position, until the
source label has been fully renamed
to your liking. ADA always suggests
leaving the source number in place for
future reference.
