To advance the channel
selector arrow to another
speaker channel, turn the
Room knob.
If your home theater is
lacking a center channel
speaker, selecting NONE
will redirect audio to the left
and right channels.
To change the surround speakers, turn the
Room knob so that the channel selector
arrow is above the L in L SURR.
As you turn the Volume knob to select
between LARGE, SMALL or NONE, you
will notice that both left surround and right
surround speakers track each other.
If you selected the NONE setting for L SURR/R
SURR, then you automatically set the back sur-
round speakers (LB SUR & RB SUR) to NONE
as well. This is because you can never have
back surround speakers without left & right sur-
round speakers. Even if you have your surround
speakers up against the back of the theater room,
they are still the primary surround speakers. The
back surround speakers are the additional one
or two speakers for 7.1 playback.
To change or make active the back surround
channels, turn the Room knob so that the chan-
nel selector arrow is above the L in LB SUR. By
turning the Volume knob, here you will cycle be-
tween five speaker setting options: LARGE &
NONE, SMALL & NONE, LARGE & LARGE,
NONE & NONE. This is because back surround
works with either one speaker or two speakers.
Please note, that adjusting either LB SUR or RB
SUR have the same affect so it does not matter
which position you have the channel selector
arrow on.
