SETUP Install or Replace Batteries AcuRite recommends high quality alkaline batteries for the best product performance. Heavy duty or rechargeable batteries are not recommended. 1. R emove the belt clip. 1 2. Remove the battery cover. Remove Belt Clip A c 3. I nsert 2 x AAA batteries into the battery compartment, as shown. Follow the polarity (+/-) diagram in the battery compartment. Pull tab UP to unlock belt clip c 4. R eplace the battery cover. B Slide belt clip OFF 5.

OPERATION Using the Lightning Detector Power On/Off Press " " button to turn the detector ON. The detector will display "PLEASE WAIT" while it automatically calibrates itself. When calibration is complete “LISTENING..” will display, indicating it is ready for use. Press AND HOLD the " button for 3 seconds to turn the detector off. " Indoor & Outdoor Modes Outdoor mode is the default setting. Indoor Mode optimizes the performance of the detector for indoor use by making it less sensitive to interference.

hold the “LIGHT” button for 5 seconds. The device will display “SOUND ON”. Interference The detector features enhanced interference rejection capabilities to prevent false lightning detection. When the detector cannot detect lightning due to interference from nearby equipment, the detector sounds a single audible beep and displays "UNABLE TO DETECT…PLEASE RELOCATE.
