ASSEMBLY READ THIS BEFORE YOU BEGIN • We’ve provided some tools to help with assembly, but you’re more than welcome to use your own • The assembly steps refer to parts by their descriptions and key numbers (see the part list on page 3) • The assembly steps are written in a specific order, and if you don’t follow them exactly, you may end up having to start all over again • Most importantly, this may not be the easiest thing you’ve ever done, but it will be worth it.
ASSEMBLY STEP 3 2 10 Tube 2 (x20) Size: 671mm Remove a nut and place two tube 2’s (2) onto the bolt and in front of the bars from the bottom ring. Place a M10 washer [10] and lightly replace the M10 nut [11]. The just placed tubes should meet in the middle to form a triangle like the below image. Continue attaching until all 20 tubes are connected to the bottom ring of the geo dome. Each bolt needs to connect four tubes [two on bottom ring and two that angle upwards.) Note: Do not tighten the nuts.
STEP 5 2 Remove a nut from one of the M10X35mm bolts (8) from step 4, and place a tube 2 [2] onto the bolt. Lightly replace the nut. Add another tube 2 directly to the left in the same way. Make sure the two tubes lean in towards each other to form a triangle. Continue placing bars in this manner until you have attached all the tubes to the second ring of the geo dome and your geo dome looks like the image below. Note: There will be a “skipped“ bar between each triangle.
ASSEMBLY STEP 7 4 Tube 4 (x10) Size: 638mm M10x33mm Bolt (x5) 9 10 M10 Washer (x5) 11 M10 Nut (x5) (9) (9) Using a tube 4 (4), attach one side of the tube to a tube 4 triangle section only [shorter tubes]. Use a M10X33mm bolt (9), M10 washer (10) and a M10 nut [11] [thread lightly as it will be removed in later steps] to attach. Continue attaching the remaining tube 4 bars at the intersections of the tube 4 only. This will result in attaching at every other intersection.
8 STEP 9 5 Tube 5 (x5) Size: 511mm (2) (11) (11) (10) 2 Tube 2 (x5) Size: 671mm (5) (2) (5) 10 M10 Washer (x5) (5) (2) Remove a nut from a M10X33mm bolt of the third ring and place a tube 5 onto the bolt. Add a M10 washer and lightly replace the nut. Now, remove the nut from the M10X35mm bolt directly to the right of where you just attached the tube 5 and place a tube 2 onto the bolt. Lightly replace the nut [do not add a washer].
ASSEMBLY STEP 10 11 6 Tube 6 (x5) Size: 732mm M10x35mm Bolt (x5) 8 10 M10 Washer (x5) (6) (10) (6) 11 (8) M10 Nut (x5) Using tube 6’s (6), connect accross the tubes from the previous step. Connect the tubes with M10X35mm bolts [8], M10 washers [10] and M10 nuts [11] [lightly place the nut as it will be removed in later steps]. Continue attaching until all five tube 6’s are connected. This completes the fourth and final ring of the geo dome.
STEP 13 9 M10X33mm Bolt (x1) 10 M10 Washer (x2) 11 (10) (11) (9) M10 Nut (x1) Last step! Connect the top of the geo dome by placing a M10X33mm bolt [9] through all five tube 4’s from the previous step. Secure with two M10 washers [10] on either side and a M10 nut [11]. [You will need two people for this step, one person inside the geo dome to place bolt and washer and one person outside the geo dome to place the second washer and to secure the nut. Finally, tighten all the nuts of the geo dome.
