Methods and materials for
containment and cleaning up
Sweep up and shovel into suitable containers for disposal. Contain the spill, then place in a
suitable container. Collect and dispose of spillage as indicated in section 13 of the SDS. For waste
disposal, see section 13 of the SDS. Prevent product from entering drains.
Environmental precautions
Avoid release to the environment. Contact local authorities in case of spillage to drain/aquatic
environment. Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Do not contaminate water. Avoid
discharge into drains, water courses or onto the ground.
7. Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Provide adequate ventilation. When using, do not eat,
drink or smoke. Do not taste or swallow. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Avoid
release to the environment.
Conditions for safe storage,
including any incompatibilities
Keep containers tightly closed and dry. Store in a cool well ventilated area away from incompatible
materials. Keep away from direct sunlight. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Keep out
of the reach of children. Store locked up. Metal containers must be lined.
