Requirements and Recommendations
Wyse Screen Lock ICA™ Virtual Channel 2.0 requirements and recommendations include
the following:
• Screen Lock ICA
™
Virtual Channel 2.0 must be installed on both the Winterm™ 3
series Thin Client and the Citrix MetaFrame Server.
• ICA client for CE .NET version 7.0 Add-on build 46 or later is required.
Screen Saver
Wyse Screen Saver allows Winterm™ 3 series Thin Clients to display a screen saver after
a specified period of keyboard and mouse inactivity. After installing this Add-on, the screen
saver options in the display applet become available. If enabled, a user can select the wait
time in minutes and after that time of inactivity has been reached, the screen will turn black
and a floating Microsoft bitmap will appear on different parts of the screen.
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) 2.1
Wyse Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) 2.1 Add-on is an SNMP Extension
agent that is installed on CE .NET in associate with Microsoft® SNMP services to provide
any remote management software using SNMP commands to manage the Winterm™ 3
series Thin Clients.
The Wyse SNMP Extension Agent supports the Wyse private Management Information
Base (MIB) for Winterm™ 3 series products. With the add-on installed, a generic SNMP
manager can query the thin client on various information including Build Number, Memory
Size, and Flash Size. Details of MIB support are described in the WBT3MIB.MIB file
released with the SNMP Add-on.
ThinPrint ICA Virtual Channel 5.5
Wyse ThinPrint ICA Virtual Channel 5.5 allows Winterm™ 3 series Thin Client users to
print locally to a printer that is attached to the thin client from an ICA session through the
virtual channels of terminal server communication. It can receive print jobs and send them
directly to printers or network printers with embedded network cards. In addition, Wyse
ThinPrint ICA Virtual Channel 5.5 supports LPD printing.
About the Add-on
Known Issues and Workarounds:
• ThinPrint does not work after setting up a printer using a thin client without a built-in
LPT port. As a workaround, reboot the thin client to enable ThinPrint again.
• Some edit controls in the ThinPrint set-up dialog do not have assigned hotkeys and tab
commands.
• Invalid value for Device Write Timeout field is saved.
