• Clipboard sharing, also known as clipboard redirection. The local clipboard becomes a
part of the clipboard viewer chain in the remote session, allowing the user to copy and
paste between applications running in both the remote session and on the local client.
• Local-printer redirection so server applications can print locally to the client device.
• Local-audio playback so server applications can direct audio to the client device or play
at the terminal server.
• Local-port redirection so server applications can use parallel and COM ports of the
client device.
• Local drive redirection so server applications can use the file system (including ATA) of
the client device.
• File redirection filter that permits exposing only specific directories. If you specify that
only external storage (such as Compact Flash or USB storage) be exposed through
the redirected drive, information is saved only to the redirected drive.
• TS CAL maintenance tool. This control panel utility is available in any OS design that
supports Control Panel programs, such as the Enterprise Web Pad. It requires that the
RDP client be in the run-time image.
Remote Shadow 2.0
Wyse Remote Shadow™ 2.0 provides the following support to the Winterm™ 3 series
Thin Client:
• Allows the remote system running the VNC Viewer to shadow a Winterm™ 3 series
Thin Client and remotely interact with the user interface of the thin client.
• Allows the remote system to configure a Winterm™ 3 series Thin Client using the
following keyboard languages: U.S. English, French, German, Spanish, Spanish
Variation, and U.K. English.
Notable Features
Wyse Remote Shadow 2.0 includes the following notable features:
• Expanded support for international languages - International languages now include
U.S. English, French, German, Spanish, Spanish Variation, and U.K. English
(international language support includes CE .NET 4.0 or 4.1 using Remote Shadow 2.0
build 12.0 only, and CE .NET 4.2 using Remote Shadow 2.0 build 13.0 or later).
• System Password control for Administrators - Allows administrators to enable or
disable the system password.
• VNC Viewer access control for Administrators - Administrators can prevent end users
from disallowing VNC Viewer access to the end user thin client.

Wyse Remote Shadow 2.0 requirements and recommendations include the following:
• To shadow a Winterm™ 3 series Thin Client, the VNC Viewer must be installed on the
remote server and the Remote Shadow add-on must be installed on the Winterm™ 3
series Thin Client.
• Remote Shadow 2.0 can be installed on CE .NET 4.x or later, and on any hardware
platform.
