Microsoft VPN Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) 1.1
Microsoft® VPN Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) 1.1 is a network protocol that
enables the secure transfer of data between a remote client (in this case the thin client)
and an enterprise server environment by creating a Virtual Private Network (VPN) across
TCP/IP-based data networks such as the Internet. It provides a password-protected path
through the enterprise firewall to the enterprise server environment in which the network
and session services required by thin clients reside.
An Internet Service Provider (ISP) must be available to provide access to the Internet. Any
of the standard means of connecting to the ISP may be used, such as a dial-up modem,
cable modem, and DSL modem. The connection to the ISP must be established before
contacting the enterprise PPTP server.
MicroTouch 5.6
Wyse MicroTouch 5.6 provides driver support to enable Touch Monitors manufactured by
3M Touch Systems, collectively referred as MicroTouch monitors in this guide. The current
driver supports MicroTouch monitors with RS-232 interface only. In addition, a user
interface is provided to allow MicroTouch monitor configurations.
Note
On CE .NET 4.2, Wyse MicroTouch is incompatible with ELO Touch Serial.
Ensure that the ELO Touch Serial Add-on is removed before installing
MicroTouch. Installing both Add-ons causes unpredictable malfunctions.
About the Add-on
Recommended H/W:
3M Touch models with Capacitive Serial RS232 Controller (EXII)
3M Touch models with Resistive Serial RS232 Controller (M510, M410)
MicroTouch M150 FPD Capacitive Touch Monitor (Part Number 11-81372-129)
Known Issues and Workarounds:
The MicroTouch applet can be accessed only once in the Control Panel. Close and
then open the Control Panel to access the applet again.
The MicroTouch Add-on does not work in conjunction with a USB-to-Serial dongle.
