Requirements and Recommendations
Wyse Media Player 9.0 requirements and recommendations include the following:
Internet Explorer 6.0 must be installed prior to installing Wyse Media Player 9.0.
For proper playback, model 3455XL must be set to either 32 bit color or set to the
resolution of 1024 x 768 in 16 bit color.
The minimum requirement for the Flash/RAM configuration is 32F/64R.
If Microsoft® Windows 2003 Media services is installed, certain streaming videos may
cause a security dialog box to appear asking you for password, username, and domain
information. In such cases, you can safely ignore and close this dialog box. To prevent
this security dialog box from appearing, you must configure your server so that it does
not ask for authentication in such cases.
For proper playback on the Model 3125SE, it is recommended that the default
playback be set to 50% due to the nature of the chip set speed.
If you open Media Player with your display set at 8 bit color, improper colors will
display. Therefore, it is recommended to set the display to at least 16 bit color (or
higher depending on the thin client model).
For best sound quality during playback, it is recommended that you use powered
speakers.
Note
To optimize the playback quality of AVI files, it is recommended that you
allocate enough memory space to store the largest file you are planning to
play. After installing Media Player, you can allocate memory to store AVI files
