Requirements and Recommendations
Wyse Magic USB MGCOM requires a Winterm™ 3 series Thin Client with at least one
available USB port.
Due to the dynamic loading characteristics of USB devices, a USB-Serial dongle can
occupy different COM port numbers depending on what other USB-Serial devices are
attached, the plug-in order among the attached USB devices, or the USB port to which the
devices are attached. Applications which are configured to use certain COM port numbers
may need to be re-configured due to COM port number changes for a USB-Serial dongle.
To avoid COM port number changes for a USB-Serial dongle, be sure to plug in the same
number of USB-Serial devices to the same USB ports before booting the thin client.
