Upgrading to Release 4.1
To restore the CVX switch to a prior release, if the Revert command is not
available:
Step Action
1 From the CLI, change to the backup directory and copy each file to the
root directory on the flash memory card in drive C:. For example:
CVX> cd c:\backup
CVX> copy [filename] c:\[filename]
This example copies the file specified by [filename] to the root directory.
This must be done for every file in the c:\backup directory.
2 Enter the felf command to initialize the bepbr.elz file.
CVX> felf bepbr.elz
3 Enter the cold command to restart the CVX switch using the backup
software version. For example:
CVX> cold
The CVX switch reboots and installs the prior release software with the
configuration associated with that software release.
4 Enter the vinfo command to verify the software version.
