Chapter 8. Advanced Operations with
Disk Administrator
This chapter describes the following operations with partitions:
Converting a Partition
Changing the Partition Type
Setting an Active Partition
Hiding a Partition
Resizing Clusters/Blocks
Resizing the FAT16 Root Folder
Moving a Partition in the Partition Table
8.1 Converting a Partition
Two types of partition conversion are possible with help of Disk
Administrator:
1. Primary Ù logical.
2. FAT16 Ù FAT32.
The dialog, which appears when partition conversion is invoked, is
functionally the same as the one for partition resizing, since Disk
Administrator can perform all changes in partition and file system parameters
in one operation.
When converting a boot partition on some operating systems you should be
sure that it will remain bootable under new conditions.
