Key elements of the console workspace

Name Description

Navigation pane Contains the Navigation tree. Lets you navigate to the different views. For

details, see Navigation pane (p. 14).

Main area Here you configure and monitor backup, recovery and other operations. The

main area displays views and action pages (p. 15) depending on the items

selected in the menu or Navigation tree.

Menu bar Appears across the top of the program window. Lets you perform most of

operations available in Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5. The menu items

change dynamically depending on the item selected in the Navigation tree

and the main area.

2.1.1 "Navigation" pane

The navigation pane includes the Navigation tree.

Navigation tree

The Navigation tree enables you to navigate across the program views. You can choose between the

Full list or the Short list of views. The Short list contains the most frequently used views from the

Full list.

The Short list displays

 [Machine name]. This is the root of the tree also called a Welcome screen. It displays the

name of the machine the console is currently connected to. Use this view for quick access to the

main operations, available on the managed machine.
