Rough Cut Mower
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
NOTE: Please see the engine manual for a full troubleshooting guide for any engine issues.
Trouble Cause Correction
 Spark plug wire disconnected Connect spark plug wire
 Prime engine
Defective or incorrectly gapped spark plug Inspect or replace spark plug
Fuel tank empty Add fuel
Dirty carburetor or fuel line Clean carburetor or fuel line
Dirty air lter Replace air lter
Carburetor out of adjustment For carburetor adjustment, take the unit to an
authorized service center
 Wait several minutes before starting
Throttle control lever in incorrect position Move throttle lever to FAST or START position
Stale gasoline Drain old gasoline and add fresh gas
Defective throttle control lever or wire Inspect lever and wire. Replace if damaged or defective
Defective ignition Inspect ignition and replace if damaged or defective
Battery has no charge Charge and replace if dead, damaged, or defective
 Bad spark plug Replace spark plug
Dirty air lter Replace air lter
Carburetor out of adjustment For carburetor adjustment, take the unit to an
authorized service center
Stale gasoline Drain old gasoline and add fresh gas
 Clean debris screen and engine cooling ns
