Section H. No Power/Insufficient Power to
Communications/Navigation Equipment

Symptom(s)
• VHF, radar, GPS, or DGPS system(s) fail to operate properly.
H.2. Actions
If there is no power to operate the communications/navigation equipment,
take the following actions:
Step Action
1 Coxswain notify and direct the crew to investigate the casualty,
and reports status, cause and, if applicable, estimated time to
repair.
2 Verify alternator output on voltmeter for each engine.
3 Check the position on power panels of all breakers and switches
for the affected equipment.
4 Crewmembers report all findings to the coxswain.
5 Coxswain report status of casualty to the Operational Commander.
