User guide
1 ABOUT THIS GUIDE
Introduction
FileStore is the file server for Communicators connected together on an
Econet Local Area Network. It extends the facilities provided to users in
three main ways:
—
By providing space to store large files created by using applications such as
VIEW and ViewSheet.
—
By making information available to all users on the network.
—
By allowing users to share network resources, such as printers.
This guide will tell you how to get FileStore ready for use and how to
supervise its use for maximum efficiency.
For details of using FileStore to store, retrieve and print work, see the
Communicator User Guide,
and applications user guides such as the VIEW
and
ViewSheet User Guides.
