The Wilkins YB series wye strainers are a perfect choice for preventing damage to downstream
components due to sand and debris in the water. Designed with a straining area that exceeds the
requirements of mil-specs, the domestically manufactured YB series is available with 20, 40, 60, 80,
or 100 mesh screens, and is furnished standard with 20 mesh. A good strainer is cheap insurance
when it comes to protecting downstream equipment, and the Wilkins YB series stands ready to take
on the job.
Local codes shall govern installation requirements. Unless other
wise specified, the assembly shall be mounted in accordance with
the latest edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code. The installation
shall be made so that no part of the unit can be submerged.
