OptionsTypical Installation Features
Many fire suppression systems require their components to be installed in less than perfect locations.
Cramped closets and overflowing mechanical rooms do not leave much room for a traditional, horizontal
reduced pressure detector assembly. The 475DA and 475DAV were designed to solve this problem. The
475DA, with its “N” pattern design, and the 475DAV for vertical up-up flows provide compact backpressure
and backsiphonage protection in high hazard fire protection applications. The 475DA / 475DAV series
utilize the highly repeatable and low head loss generating Compound Check
®
, and are up to the challenge
that any high hazard fire suppression system may present.
Air gap (Model AG)
Thermal expansion tank (Model XT)
Valve setter (Model FLS or MJS or MJFS)
Local codes shall govern installation requirements. To be installed in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions and the latest edition of the
Uniform Plumbing Code. Unless otherwise specified, the assembly shall be mounted at a minimum of 12” (305mm) and a maximum of 30” (762mm)
above adequate drains with sufficient side clearance for testing and maintenance. The installation shall be made so that no part of the unit can be
submerged.
