• Reduced pressure principle backflow preventer consisting of a pressure
differential relief valve located between two independently operated
spring-loaded center guided check valves
• Complete with two flange-ended non-rising stem resilient wedge gate
valves and four resilient seated ball valve test cocks
• Lightweight, thin wall, epoxy-coated ductile iron
• Check components are made from lead-free engineered plastics and
stainless steel

The voice of the customer told Wilkins loud and clear that there was a need for lighter weight and lower
head loss when it came to reduced pressure principle assemblies. Wilkins answered the challenge with
the release of the 375A / 375 series reduced pressure principle assemblies. Ductile iron body construction
drastically reduced the weight that is normally associated with gray iron bodies, and the patented Com-
pound Check
®
took head loss to lows not previously seen with a center-stem guided check. The 375A,
with its grooved body connections, and the 375, with is flanged body connection are available with gate
and butterfly shut-off valves. Designed to protect against backpressure and backsiphonage in a high haz-
ard application, both the 375A and 375 are available with flanged and grooved terminating ends.

Local codes shall govern installation requirements. Unless otherwise specified, the assembly shall be mounted at a minimum of 12” (305mm) and a maxi-
mum of 30” (762mm) above adequate drains with sufficient side clearance for testing and maintenance. The installation shall be made so that no part of
the unit can be submerged.
