When double check valve assemblies are installed in valve boxes, it is advantageous to have top
access to the check valves and test cocks. The Wilkins 950XLT embodies these advantages. Both
check valve access covers and test cocks are angled upward for easy access during testing and re-
pair. Designed for backflow protection where a health hazard does not exist, the 950XLT is perfect
for residential, commercial, and irrigation applications requiring a valve box installed double check.

Local codes shall govern installation requirements. To be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and the latest edition of the Uni-
form Plumbing Code. Unless otherwise specified, the assembly shall be mounted at a minimum of 12” (305mm) and a maximum of 30” (762mm)
above adequate drains with sufficient side clearance for testing and maintenance. The installation shall be made so that no part of the unit can be
submerged.
