Chapter 6: Web Application Manager
6.1 Plug-in download and installation
Open your web browser and input the IP address and web port of DVR, such as ：
http://172.18.6.202:8080/ . If your computer is connected to internet, it will download and install “ActiveX”
Plug-in automatically. If your computer system is Vista, you may need to setup the user authority. Details
please refer to the below picture: Start →setup→ control panel（Cancel Tick “√” use UAC to help protect
your computer and confirm OK）.

Reminder: If the plug-in program is not downloaded successfully, please check if your browser’s safety
level or firewall setting is too advanced. Please run IE →Tools→Internet options→Internet Custom
level→Enable the options. If it is first time login, it need about one minute to finish download and install
plug-in, please wait patiently. Also refer to section 5.2.3 Network Setup to make sure network configuration is
correct, ports are forwarded correctly, and ActiveX is enabled.
Note: Cause DVR sytem update, If you want to delete old IE webcam at the computer which
already login before, input the command characters: “regsvr32/u HiDvrOcx.ocx on “Start→Menu
→Run ”
6.2 web Client Log-in
After plug-ins installation, please input user name and password and click [Log-in] button, and then you
can view DVR remotely through the Web Client. Note that if use IE to login must input user name. default
password is empty. System allows Administrator to set new password as per instructions in section 6.3.1.3 -
[Device Manage] menu. Login as Admnistrator can setup every parameter ; Login as user only can setup
live， playback ，logout，but can not setup other parameters. 4-CH allow respectively five users on-line
simultaneously, and 8-CH DVR allow three users
