4. Loosen the five (5) captive screws (in numerical order from 1 to 5).

5. Carefully lift up the assembly and remove it from the mainboard.

IMPORTANT:Place the thermal module on a clean, dry surface when it is not installed.

Removing the CPU

1. See “Removing the Thermal Module” on page 76.

2. Using a slotted screw driver, rotate the CPU locking screw 180° counter-clockwise as shown.
