The following controller events could occur:
6.9.4 Event Severity
Each event message is classified into one of five different severities which corresponds to a colored icon:
6.9.4.1 Serious Icon:
A critical error or major device failure has occurred.
User action is needed but data or access to data may have already been lost.
User may have to call for service or replace hardware.
Resources in a critical state should be considered Down according to RAB guidelines.

A serious error or device failure has occurred.

388 Critical Controller is dead. System is disconnecting
from this controller.
Replace the controller and apply a
configuration.
389 Warning Controller has been reset. Check the controller’s configuration and
restore as necessary. (Resetting a controller
may cause loss of data or loss of access to
data.)
390 Informational Controller is found. Nothing.
391 Critical Controller is gone. System is disconnecting
from this controller.
Replace the controller and apply a
configuration.
395 Critical Controller is gone. System is disconnecting
from this controller.
Replace the controller and apply a
configuration.
396 Informational Controller powered on. Nothing.
397 Informational Controller is online. Nothing.
398 Critical Controller is gone. System is disconnecting
from this controller.
Replace the controller and apply a
configuration.
399 Serious Controller’s partner is gone, controller is in
failover mode now.
Replace the controller, apply a configuration,
and return the controller to duplex mode.
