Replacing the Thermal Module
WARNING:To prevent damage to the Thermal Module or the CPU, hold the Thermal Module by both ends at
the same time.
IMPORTANT: Ensure all heat pads / thermal compound are in place before replacing the Thermal Module.
The following thermal pads are approved for use:
• Silmore GP50
• Honeywell
• Jet Motor 7762
The following thermal compounds are approved for use:
• Eapus XR-PE
1. Remove all traces of thermal grease or pads from the CPU using a lint-free cloth or cotton swab and
Isopropyl Alcohol, Acetone, or other approved cleaning agent.
2. Apply thermal grease (green callout) and thermal pads (red callout) to the indicated locations.
1. Align and place the Thermal Module in the on the
mainboard as shown.
2. Remove the four screws from the Thermal Module
numerically, from 1 to 4.
