Special considerations

• Minim i ze th e effects of temperature ch ang e s by keepin g th e com pu t e r
with you.
• If y ou need to st op for a n extende d p e r i od of ti m e a nd c a nn ot c a rry th e
com pu t er wit h you, l eave t h e co mpu t er in the t r un k o f t h e car to av o i d
exposin g the com puter to exc e ss ive h eat.
• Ch ang e s in temperature an d hu m i dity can ca use co ndensation . Allow th e
computer t o return to room temperature, an d in s p ect the screen for
con d en sation b e fore tu r n ing on t h e co mp uter. If the temperature ch ang e
is greater than 10 °C (18 ° F ), allo w t h e co mpu t er to co me to r o om
temperature slowly. If po ss i b le, leave the com pu t er fo r 30 min u tes in a n
environ
m en t wit h a temperature b e tween ou tside an d ro om t e mpe r atu r e.
Setting up a home office
If y ou fre que ntly work on yo ur co mp uter at hom e, y ou m ay want to pu rchase a
second AC ada p ter for use at home. With a s e con d AC adap ter, yo u can avoid
carry ing the ex tra weig ht to a nd fro m ho me .
If yo u use y ou r co mp uter at hom e for sign if i c ant periods of time, you might also
want to add an external keyboard, m on i tor or m ou s e.
Traveling with the computer
Whe n you are mo ving withi n a larg er di stance, f o r instanc e, fr om your office
bu ildin g to a client's o f fice buil d ing or traveling local l y.

the comput e r i s c h arged. Airport s e cu rity may require y ou to t u rn on your
com pu t er when carr ying it into the g a te area.
