What to bring to meetings
If yo ur m eeting is rela t i vely sho r t, you pro b ab ly do no t nee d to b r ing anything
with you other th an you r com puter. If you r meeting will b e lon g er, o r if yo ur
battery is not f u lly c h arged, y ou ma y want to bring the A C adapter wi t h y ou to
plu g in yo ur co mp uter in th e meeting roo m .
If th e meeting room do es no t have an electrical ou tlet, reduc e t h e drain on the
battery
by pu tt in g the com pu t er in Sl eep m od e. Press <F n> + <F 4> or clo s e th e
disp lay c o ver when ever you are no t activel y u s i ng th e com pu t er. To resum e, op en
the display ( i f c l osed) , then press and release the power button.

Preparing the computer
After disconne cting the computer f r om your desktop, follow these steps to
prep are t h e co mp uter for the trip hom e:
• Ch eck that you have rem o ved all m e dia and com p act d i sks f r o m the
drive(s). Failu re to remo ve the m e dia ca n da mag e the d r ive h ead.
• Pack the c o mp uter in a p r otective case that can p r eve n t the co mpu t er f r o m
slidin g around and cush ion it if i t sh ou ld fall.
