• U sing the computer on cons ta nt AC power with the battery
i n serted. I f yo u want to use con s ta nt AC power, you a r e a d vised to
rem o ve the bat t er y pack a fter it is fu lly ch arg e d.
• N o t disc harging an d rec harging t h e batte ry t o its extre mes, as
d e sc ri bed ab ove.
• F reque n t use; the mor e you use t h e batt ery, the fast er it will r each
the end of its effe ct ive life. A s t andar d c o m p uter bat t ery has a lif e
span of a b out 300 charges.
Installing and removing the battery pack
Important! Before removing the batt ery from t h e un it, con n ec t
the AC ada p ter if yo u wan t to co ntinu e usin g you r c o m puter.
O t herwise, turn off t h e computer fir st.
To in stall a battery p ack:
1 A lign the bat t er y with the open batt ery bay; make s u re t h at t h e
end with the contacts will ent e r first , and that th e top sur f ac e of
the bat t ery is fac i ng up.
2 S lide t h e batt ery into t h e ba tte ry b ay an d ge ntl y pu sh un ti l t h e
ba tter y locks in place.
