Restore Windows from backup discs
No te: Th is f e at u r e is on ly av ailab l e on certain mod e ls.
To rest o r e W i ndo ws from you r previo usly burned b a ckup d i scs, you will need to
insert the first back up disc and enable the F 12 Bo ot Me nu via the B I OS Setup
Utility.
1 T urn on y o ur computer and insert the first s y stem rec o very disc into t h e
opt i cal disc driv e. Restart y o ur computer.
2 D uring startup when t h e Acer lo go shows, p r ess th e F2 key to en t e r BI OS
Setu p , whe r e you can set s y stem parameters.
3 U se the le ft and right arrow keys to select the Main subm enu .
4 U se the up an d do wn arro w keys t o select F1 2 Boo t Me nu
5 U se the F5 or F6 key to ch ang e F 12 Bo ot Me nu to Ena b le d .
6 P ress t h e ESC key to enter the Exit submenu, press the E N TER key to Exit

rebo ot.
7 A fter rebooting, when the Ac er logo sho w s, press th e F12 key to op en the
Bo ot M e nu . Here you can s e lect which device to bo ot from.
8 U se the arro w keys to selec t t h e ID E1* , t h en press the E N TER key . W i nd ows
will be installed fro m the r e c o very d i sc.
9 I nsert the second recovery disc when pr om pte d , th e n fo llow the onscreen
prompts to c omplete the restor e.
10 Remove the rec o very dis c fr om th e op t i c a l drive on ce the r e sto r e is
com plete. D o this b e fore rebo otin g you r c o m puter.
