Link Manager palette
Link Manager menu Open this menu to define an anchor or select an anchor.
Prefixes Click the radio button to select a hyperlink protocol or command from the Link
drop-down list.
http://www. Hypertext Transfer Protocol. A Web address starts with
http, followed by the Internet address, path, and name of a Web page;
e.g., http://www.acdsystems.com/English/index.htm
http:// Hypertext Transfer Protocol. A Web address starts with http,
followed by the Internet address, path, and name of a Web page;
e.g., http://www.acdsystems.com/English/index.htm
file:// File. Let's you link to a file;
e.g.,
file://C:/Users/<username>/Documents/GettingStartedGuide.pdf
ftp:// File Transfer Protocol. A file’s URL can start with ftp followed by the
Internet address, path, and name of a file;
e.g., ftp://ftp.acdamerica.com/public/Guide.pdf
mailto: An e-mail link starts with mailto followed by a username, @
symbol, and domain name;
e.g., mailto:support@acdsystems.com
User defined Click the radio button to select a link from the Link drop-down list.
Pages Click the radio button to select a page or sheet from the Link drop-down list.
[first page]: Jumps to the first page.
[last page]: Jumps to the last page.
[previous page]: Jumps to the page before the current page.
[next page]: Jumps to the following page.
[page-top]: Jumps to the top of the current page.
[page-bottom]: Jumps to the bottom of the current page.
{Page #1}: Jumps to the specified page, sheet, frame, or slide.
Anchors Click the radio button to see select a defined anchor in the current document
from the Link drop-down list.
Link Depending on the radio button you selected above, the options available in the
Link drop-down list will vary. Select one of the items in the list, enter a URL, or
click the Open File button to select a file, and then click Open.
