Chapter 6: Online mode
to select multiple images.
Drag a folder of your images to the top part of the screen.
Select images and click the up arrow icon beside Transfer Manager.
When upload is complete, images are displayed in the order they were uploaded.
You can upload a folder with sub-folders. Online mode respects folder hierarchy when uploading a folder to your ACDSee
Online account.
Creating and making folders public or private
For help with ACDSee Online, click the ACDSeeOnline.com tab, then click FAQs.
In ACDSeeOnline.com and Transfer, you can create folders and make them private or public. Once you make your folders public,
other ACDSee Online users can see your images. You can also copy the URL for your public folders and share the URL with someone.
When you create a new folder, it is set to private by default.
To create a folder and make it private or public in Transfer:
1. In Online mode, click Transfer.
2. In the Folders pane, right-click on Online Home, and select New Online Folder.
3. In the New Online Folder dialog box, enter a name for the new folder.
4. Click OK.
By default the new folder is Private.
5. To change the folder to Public, right-click on the folder, and then click Make Public.
To share the URL for a public folder:
1. In Online mode, click Transfer.
2. In the Folders pane, in the top section of the window, right-click on a public folder.
3. Click Copy URL.
4. Paste the URL into an email, instant message, or other application to share it with someone.
Viewing images
For help with ACDSee Online, click the ACDSeeOnline.com tab, then click FAQs.
In Transfer, you can view an image's file properties.
To view image file properties:
1. Click Transfer. Your screen splits in two, with the top part of the screen displaying images in your ACDSee Online account.
2. In the top part of the screen, double-click an image to view it in a larger size.
3. Click the Info button to view the image's file information.
Changing the rating system
For help with ACDSee Online, click the ACDSeeOnline.com tab, then click FAQs.
Photos that you have rated in Manage mode are rated with a star rating system in Online mode. You can select how to use stars to
rate your photos.
