Kitchen Scale. Please read
this instruction manual carefully before use. Keep these instructions handy
for future reference.
General Weighing Operation
1. This scale operates on 2 AAA batteries (included). If there is a strip in
battery cover to prevent battery drain in shipping, ensure to remove the
strip before continuing with these instructions.

Place the scale on a hard, level surface.
Press " " to turn the scale on. The display first shows
then zero then it is ready for use. If the display does not show zero,
press “ ” to reset (tare) the scale to zero.
Your scale is set at the factory to weigh in ounces. Press the “UNIT”
button to change the unit of measure from oz / g / ml / fl.oz.
When you select the "g" option and the weight reaches to a kg, the icon
on screen changes from g to kg. Also, when you select the oz option
and the weight reaches 16oz, the icon on screen will change from oz to
lb:oz
Place the item to be weighed on the center of the platform. The weight
will display. As you add weight, the weight displayed increases.
The scale will turn off automatically after 1 minute of non-use or
if there is no change in weight after 3 minutes. Press and hold
“ ” to turn the scale off manually.
Precautions
1. Clean exposed parts with a soft, slightly damp cloth. To remove stains,
use a mild soap. Never use detergents, excess water, treated cloths,
harsh cleaning agents, or sprays. Avoid contact with acids, such
as citrus juices.
2. Do not tamper with the scale’s internal components. Doing so will
invalidate the warranty on this unit and may cause damage. The scale
contains no user-serviceable parts.
3. Although your scale is designed to be maintenance-free, it contains
sensitive electronic parts. Avoid rough treatment. Treat it with care
to ensure the best performance.
4. This scale is intended for home/consumer use only. It is not intended
for commercial or medical use.
5. This scale is designed to read weights up to
22lb / 10kg. To prevent damage, do not place more than 22lb / 10kg on
it.
6. Do not store scale where you store cleaning chemicals. The vapors from
some household products may affect the electronic components of your
scale. Do not store scale on its side.
Tare Operation (Cont.)
1. Choose a container that will safely balance on the platform without
tipping or falling. Do not use a heavy container, as this might reduce
the maximum capacity of the scale.
2. While the scale is off, place the empty container on the scale platform.
Turn the scale on. The display will show zero. The weight of the
container has been zeroed out.

Add the ingredient to be weighed. The weight of the ingredient alone
will display.
The weight of additional ingredients may be tared out as well.
For example, if a recipe calls for ½lb rice and ½lb beans, place the
rice into the bowl. Once the correct amount of rice is weighed, press
“ ” until the display is reset to zero. Add the ½lbs of beans. Both
ingredients have been accurately weighed in the same bowl.
5. When the weights have been tared out, the display will show "----"
when the items are removed from the scale. To reset the scale back
to zero for a new measurement, press “ ” until the display resets
to zero.

warrants this product to be free from defects in material or workmanship
(excluding batteries) for two (2) years for the original purchaser from date of retail purchase.
It does not cover damages or wear resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, commercial use,
or unauthorized adjustment and/or repair. If service is required, do not return to retailer.
Should this product require service (or replacement at our option), please pack the item
carefully and return it prepaid, along with store receipt showing the date of purchase and
a note explaining reason for return to:
Battery Replacement

scale is equipped with a low battery indicator.
It will display “Lo” or readings will grow dim or become irregular if
the batteries needs replacement.
2. The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the scale.
3. Remove the old batteries. Place the new batteries into
the battery compartment.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover.
NOTE: Please recycle or dispose of batteries per local regulations.
WARNING: Batteries may pose a choking hazard. Do not let children handle batteries.
7. This scale is an extremely sensitive weighing device. In order
to prevent run down of the battery, do not store anything on the
scale.
8. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak.
Do not mix old and new batteries. Remove the batteries if the scale
will not be used for a long period of time.
9. Unstable Warning: Should “----” appear on the display, this indicates
the scale is unstable. Place the scale on a hard, level surface during
use.
10. Overload Warning: Should "Err" appear on the display during a
weighing, this indicates that the maximum weighing capacity of the
scale has been exceeded. Remove the weight immediately;
otherwise, permanent damage could occur.

Tare Operation
You may wish to weigh ingredients a bowl or other container (not
included). In this case, you will need to tare, or offset, the weight
of the bowl so that only the weight of the ingredients is displayed.
