and show the next parameter value (right side). After the ninth
parameter, pressing the MODE key will restart the parameter list at 1.
To exit the programming mode, press and hold the MODE key, then
press the ZERO key.
The programming parameters and the valid parameter values are shown
in the following chart:

Enable/Disable HOLD Feature
0 = HOLD feature is disabled
1 = HOLD feature is enabled

0 = Automatic Power-off is disabled

0 = Disables INC mode; ABS mode only

Setting ABS Position
When the display is in ABS mode (indicated by ABS in the upper left
corner of the display), a zero point is established by pressing the ZERO
key. All subsequent absolute measurements will reflect distance from
this point. The display should be locked to prevent accidental resetting.
Setting INC Position
Momentarily press the MODE key. This switches the display to
incremental mode. Press the ZERO key. Any measurement now taken
will be an incremental measurement. The display can be repeatedly re-
zeroed (for incremental measurements) by pressing the MODE key (for
