Insert the battery
Pump is in STOP.1.
Remove the battery cover 2.
with the battery key
counterclockwise.
Insert the battery with the 3.
negative (–) end down in
the battery compartment. The positive end
ts in the notch of the battery cover.
Turn with your battery key carefully 4.
clockwise until it locks.
The text for the SELF-TEST appear in the 5.
display.
After SELF-TEST press 6. a or s to select
battery type. Press f to conrm.
The pump is in STOP.7.
Set the time
Press 1. d until the TIME AND DATE SETTINGS
screen appears.
Select by pressing 2. f.
Scroll with 3. a or s to set the hour.
Continue with pressing 4. d to change from
hour to minute, year, month, day and time
format. Change the given data with a or
s. When nished with all changes, press
f.
Pump returns to STOP or RUN mode as 5.

Program the basal rate
Press 1. d repeatedly until BASAL RATE
PROGRAMMING 1 appears (or, if desired,
basal rates 2, 3, 4 or 5).
Press 2. f to select.
Press 3. d, the 1st hour (beginning at
midnight) is shown.
Press 4. a or s to set the desired basal rate
for the shown hour.
Press 5. d to move to the next hour. Continue
using a, s and d to set all 24 hourly
basal rates.
Conrm by pressing 6. f. The new daily total
is shown. Please check total.
Press 7. f to save the settings, new basal
rate becomes active immediately.
j To copy the basal rate: press a and s
simultaneously, the basal rate of the
selected hour is copied to the next hour.
Start and stop insulin delivery
Pump is in RUN
Press 1. d until STOP YOUR PUMP screen
appears.
Press 2. f to conrm.
Pump is in STOP.3.
Pump is in STOP
Press 1. d until START YOUR PUMP screen
appears.
Press 2. f to conrm.
Pump is in RUN.3.
Select User Menu
Press 1. d until MENU SETTINGS appears.
Select menu by pressing 2. f.
The current menu is displayed.3.
Press 4. a or s to select the desired
menu (STANDARD, CUSTOM or
ADVANCED).
Save by pressing 5. f.
If the previously selected basal rate prole
is not accessible from the new user menu,
there will be dashes in the display.
The Quick bolus
Pump is in RUN.1.
Press 2. s for 3 seconds until you hear a
four-tone beep and feel a vibration. The
quick bolus function is activated.
Press 3. a repeatedly, until the desired
bolus amount is reached. This is based on
the bolus increment that you set in your
THERAPY SETTINGS.
5 seconds after you pressed 4. a for the
last time, the total bolus amount is
conrmed with beep and vibration for every
set bolus increment.
5 seconds after the conrmation the pump 5.
starts to deliver the bolus.
To cancel a Quick bolus
During programming
Press 1. s to reset the bolus amount to
0.0 units.
If no new bolus is programmed, the pump 2.
will return to RUN after 5 seconds.
During or after conrmation
Press 1. a or s for 3 seconds.
Warning W8: BOLUS CANCELLED occurs.2.
Press 3. f twice to conrm.
During bolus delivery
Press 1. a or s for 3 seconds.
Warning W8: BOLUS CANCELLED occurs.2.
Press 3. f twice to conrm.
Temporary basal rate (TBR)
Pump is in RUN.1.
Press 2. d until the TEMPORARY BASAL
RATE (TBR) screen appears.
Select by pressing 3. f, the % for the TBR
appears.
Press / scroll with 4. a or s to increase or
decrease the basal rate.
Press 5. d to move to the duration.
Press / scroll 6. a or s to set the duration.
Press 7. f to save and close.
The programmed temporary basal rate is 8.
activated immediately.
At the end of the TBR, Warning W7: TBR 9.
OVER occurs.
Press 10. f twice to conrm.
To cancel a temporary basal rate
(TBR)
Pump is in RUN, press 1. d to move to
STOP YOUR PUMP
Press 2. f to select.
Warning W6: TBR CANCELLED occurs.3.
Press 4. f twice to conrm.
Press 5. d to move to START YOUR PUMP
Press 6. f to select.
Prepare the cartridge
Place the adapter on the cartridge and 1.
press rmly.
Remove the protective 2.
cover of the cartridge.
If necessary remove the 3.
protective cover of the
infusion set.
Screw the infusion sets 4.
luer-lock clockwise into
the adapter. Do NOT
overtighten.
Change the cartridge
Pump is in STOP.1.
Press 2. d until CARTRIDGE CHANGE
appears.
Press 3. f to conrm.
DISCONNECT SET – REMOVE CARTRIDGE 4.
appears.
Remove the empty cartridge.5.
Press 6. f for 3 seconds until the piston rod
starts to return.
After the piston rod has returned the 7.
cartridge volume ashes.
To adjust cartridge volume if necessary, 8.
hold the cartridge with attached adapter
turned upwards.
Hold it parallel and close to the cartridge 9.
compartment.
Thread part top of adapter must be exactly 10.
at the same level as the top of the pump
housing.
Press 11. a or s repeatedly to move the
piston rod forward until end plate of the
piston rod is at the same level as the
bottom of cartridge plunger.
Insert the cartridge in the cartridge 12.
compartment.
Turn the adapter clockwise into the lock 13.

The bottom end of the plunger and the end 14.
plate of the piston rod must t exactly.
! If there is space between bottom of
plunger and end plate of the piston rod
repeat steps 9. to 14.
Press 15. f to conrm the cartridge volume.
Pump starts a self-test.16.
Prime the infusion set
Pump is in STOP.1.
Press 2. d repeatedly until text INFUSION
SET PRIMING appears.
Press 3. f to select. Disconnect infusion set
from body.
Press 4. f for 3 seconds, priming process
starts.
The infusion set must be free of air bubbles 5.
and the insulin must drip from the end of
the needle.
Priming process can be stopped by 6.
pressing f.
Pump returns to STOP.7.
Change the infusion set
Pump is in STOP.1.
Remove the infusion set from your infusion 2.
site.
Unscrew the infusion set from the adapter 3.
without touching the tip of the cartridge.
Screw the new infusion set carefully into 4.
the adapter until it is rmly attached.
Prime the new infusion set.5.
Change signal settings
Press 1. d repeatedly until PUMP SETTINGS
appears.
Press 2. f to select.
Press 3. d repeatedly until SIGNAL
SETTINGS screen appears.
Press 4. a or s to set the desired alarm
signal.
Close and save by pressing 5. f.
Review data memory
(MY DATA)
Press 1. d repeatedly until MY DATA screen
appears.
Press 2. f to select.
Press 3. d repeatedly to select:
a) BOLUS DATA
b) ERROR DATA
c) DAILY TOTALS
d) TBR DATA
e) PUMP TIMER**
Press 4. a or s to review the entries.
Press 5. f to close.
Keylock
Press 1. d repeatedly until PUMP
SETTINGS screen appears.
Press 2. f to select.
The current Keylock status (ON or OFF) is 3.
displayed.
Press 4. a or s to turn Keylock ON
or OFF.
Press 5. f to save and exit.
When the Keylock is on and no key is 6.
pressed (in RUN or in STOP), all four keys
are locked automatically.
Unlock the keys
Press1. d + s simultaneously until the
screen changes.
You may now operate the keys.2.
If no key is pressed within 10 seconds 3.
(in RUN or STOP), the four keys are locked
again automatically.
Adjust the sound volume
Press 1. d repeatedly until the PUMP
SETTINGS appears (in RUN or STOP).
Press 2. f to select.
Press 3. d repeatedly to move to the
SOUND VOLUME function.
Press 4. a or s to adjust the volume.
Press 5. f to save and exit.
Switch Bluetooth
®
ON / OFF
Press 1. d repeatedly until the BLUETOOTH
SETTINGS screen appears.
Press 2. f to select.
Press 3. a or s to select ON / OFF
Press 4. f to save and exit.

function is switched off on both
devices before boarding an aircraft.*
