Performing a blood glucose test
Shortly after the test area has been advanced, the prompt Apply drop appears and a beep tone sounds
again.
You can also open the tip cover if the meter is already turned on. In this case, the meter then switches to
Test. There are the following exceptions:
• If you are in the Settings menu entering a number (for example, to change the time) or in a selection
list (for example, to change the volume): In this case, when you open the tip cover you will be asked
whether you really want to perform a test (see Messages and problems page121).
• You had turned the meter on using the
or button (see Using the meter as a diary page65 or
Tools menu page103): In this case, the meter does not switch to Test. You must first turn the meter
o. Then you can start the blood glucose test.
• You are in the PC analysis menu and have started an analysis from Data transfer or Reports.
