The meter isn’t coded or the
code key isn’t all the way in.
Turn off the meter and recode it.
See Chapter 1 “Coding Your
Meter.”
The code key is incorrect. Turn
off the meter and insert a new
code key. If this doesn’t fix the
problem, call the ACCU-CHEK
Customer Care Service Center
at 1-800-858-8072.
The temperature is above or
below the proper range for the
meter (43-111°F). Move to an
area between 43 and 111°F,
wait five minutes and repeat the
test. Do not artificially heat or
cool the meter.
Battery is almost out of power. Change
the battery now.
See Chapter 5
“Changing the Battery.”
Your blood sugar may be extremely
low, or the test strip may be damaged
or not properly inserted. If you see this
error message after you applied blood
to the test strip, see Chapter 3
"Unusual Test Results." If you see this
error message before you applied
blood to the test strip, remove the test
strip and reinsert it, or replace it if
damaged. If the message reappears,
call the ACCU-CHEK Customer Care
Service Center at 1-800-858-8072.
Blood or control solution was applied
to the test strip before the flashing
drop appeared on the display. Discard
the test strip and repeat the test.
