Cleaning the Meter
Clean your meter as needed using one of the following:
• 70% isopropyl alcohol
• a solution of mild dish washing liquid and clean
water
• 10% household bleach solution (1 part bleach in
9 parts water) made fresh
With the meter
turned off,clean the
outside with a soft
cloth slightly
dampened with
cleaning solution.
To clean the Accu-Chek
®

®
Lancet Device,use a
soft cloth dampened with mild dish washing liquid.
• DO NOT place the entire device under water.
At least once a week,
disinfect the cap after cleaning
by placing it in 70% isopropyl alcohol for 10
minutes.Allow the cap to air dry after disinfecting.

• DO NOT get moisture into the code key
slot or the test strip slot.
• DO NOT spray any cleaning solution
directly onto the meter.
• DO NOT submerge the meter in liquid.
• DO NOT pour liquid onto the meter.
