If you are in the most recent data set, pressing the Down button starts a new data set. You hear “Make new entries”. In this
way you can enter results that you did not obtain using your own meter or which your doctor measured for you. Each data set
must contain at least the date and time. Therefore the voice unit suggests these. You may adopt these or change them.
You can make further entries such as the result, insulin doses or number of carbohydrates, though you do not have to.
Data sets that you have entered manually are automatically noted as being “Manually entered”. This note is read aloud before
the result.
You also have the option of generating a new entry or result, e.g. when you only wish to record certain results or events.
12.3.3.1 Date – illustration
The voice unit suggests a date to you. If you wish to accept the suggestion, press the OK button. If you wish to enter a new
date, enter it as a six-digit number.
Different cultures use different formats for the date. The voice unit is therefore able to work with two different date formats.
You can choose the format in Menu 4.1.5 “Set date format“.
Date format day – month – year:
Example: For 27th August 2006 enter 2 – 7 – 0 – 8 – 0 – 6.
