With a new pair of batteries you can perform about 500 blood glucose tests using the speaker (or 750 blood glucose
tests using the earpiece) without additional entries in the diary. If you make additional entries in the diary, the number
of blood glucose tests is reduced accordingly.

You can also use rechargeable NiMH batteries. If you do, please note the following:
 We recommend not to use rechargeable NiMH batteries. As a result of the special properties of rechargeable
batteries, the information regarding battery status may no longer be applicable.
 The performance of a rechargeable battery may differ significantly from that of an ordinary battery.

How long the batteries last depends on how intensively you use the features of the voice unit. It is therefore not pos-
sible to make a general statement about battery life.
Never throw batteries into a fire. They may explode.

Remove the batteries if you will not be using your voice unit for any length of time.

Think of the environment. Dispose of used batteries sensibly.
