When you change the batteries, the diary entries remain saved (see also Chapter 12.7.2).
The time and date settings only remain saved as long as you do not take more than 30 minutes to change the batter-
ies.
Otherwise you need to re-enter the date and time (see Chapter 12.5).
i
In menu 6.2 you can ask for the current status of the batteries in the voice unit to be announced (see also Chapter
12.7.2):
1. Announcement “Batteries are OK”
Battery performance is good and you can still perform a large number of blood glucose tests.
2 Announcement “Batteries are running low”
In this case the batteries will last for several more blood glucose tests. We recommend that you keep new bat-
teries in reserve. You can then replace the batteries when the voice unit reports “Batteries almost exhausted”
when it is turned on.
3. Announcement “Batteries almost exhausted”
In this case battery performance has declined significantly. Insert new batteries.
4. No announcement, just warning beeps
In this case the batteries are exhausted. The device does not turn on, but emits a short series of warning beeps.
The date and time are retained, as are the data in memory. Insert new batteries immediately.
