Values above this range are displayed as:
The result is greater than 33.3 mmol/L or 600 mg/dL.
Before announcing the result, the voice unit issues a message drawing your attention to this fact.
These results are not included when averages are calculated (see Chapter 12.3.5 and Chapter 18.3).
If the displayed test result agrees with the way you feel, follow your doctor’s advice. If the way you feel does not
agree with the displayed test result, please perform a quality control check with Accu-Chek Compact Autocontrol
solution and a new test strip. Then perform another blood glucose test. If the new test result still does not agree with
the way you feel, please contact your doctor.
If you have checked all points (see Chapter 20.2) and the test result is still out of the indicated range of concentra-
tion, please contact your local customer support and service center (see Chapter 30).
7.6.2 Implausible results – possible sources of error
If your meter repeatedly displays error messages or you doubt the test results are correct, please check the following points:
Did you perform the test as directed (see Chapter 7.5)?
Did you wash your hands with warm water and soap to improve blood flow and to remove any residues (e.g. of food,
drinks, or skin cream)? Did you dry your hands well?
Did you wait for the second beep to sound from the meter (test strip symbol and blood drop symbol flash in the display)
before applying blood?
