2
After the beep, move your finger away from the test strip.
Lay the meter down again within 60 seconds and line up the two devices again into an “L” shape.
After you have applied blood to the test strip, wipe the puncture site with a dry, clean tissue and keep it clean.
On completion of the test, the result appears in the display.
At the same time, the result is automatically sent to the voice unit and saved together with
the date and time in the voice unit‘s diary and in the meter.
The voice unit then announces the test result along with any additional information.
The voice unit now announces the test result along with any additional information.
You can then either turn the voice unit off or press the 0 button to access the main menu (see Chapter 12.1).
Notes
i
After applying the blood you have 60 seconds in which to lay the meter down again and line it up with the voice unit
in an “L shape.
If contact cannot be established within this time, the test result remains in the meter and can be sent and announced
later. Do this by going to menu 3.4 (see Chapter 12.4.4).
i
If the voice unit does not announce the test result and you hear the meter beep instead, this is a warning that contact
could not be established between the meter and voice unit. As the result remains saved in the meter, you can have it
sent from there to the voice unit and announced. Do this by going to menu 3.4 (see Chapter 12.4.4).
