5 Turning the voice unit on for the first time (initial set-up)
You must seek help from a sighted person before turning the device on for the first time.
When you turn the voice unit on for the first time, you must choose the language in which the voice unit is to speak or confirm
the current language setting.
The voice unit then turns off. To perform a blood glucose test you must turn the voice unit on again.
To turn the device on for the first time, press the On/Off button, which is located along the left side of the voice unit
(see Chapter 1.1), and keep it pressed for at least 2 seconds.
The voice unit turns on and you hear the beep tone. The voice unit then proceeds automatically to where you choose the
language.
i
If you keep the On/Off button pressed for longer than 2 seconds, the voice unit tells you the time that is currently set.
If you continue to keep the On/Off button pressed, the voice unit also tells you the day of the week and the date.
The voice unit then names all available languages, each one as spoken in the respective mother tongue.
If you wish the voice unit to tell you the time that is currently set:
Press the OK button.
